Dignity is 28 years old

Today, we celebrate the 28th anniversary of Dignity Humanitarian NGO, dedicated to the protection of human rights, promoting healthcare, capacity building, social support, advancing dignity and advocacy of vulnerable groups' rights.

Over the years, the organization’s work has been built upon the universal principles of fundamental human rights and freedoms, guided by key international legal instruments, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and European Conventions.

Through its work, Dignity contributes to strengthening the rule of law, eliminating discrimination, safeguarding public health and advancing social wellbeing and justice.

During these 28 years, the organization has established itself as a reliable and responsible actor within civil society by carrying out monitoring, human rights protection activities, public awareness, and advocacy—especially for vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Dignity consistently supports the implementation of international and national human rights protection mechanisms, contributing to the fulfillment of state obligations and the enhancement of accountability.

We highly value the contributions of our partners, international organizations and all supporters, whose collaboration has made it possible to achieve visible and sustainable results.

This important anniversary is not only an opportunity to reflect on the path traveled, but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to continue our mission—towards building an inclusive, healthy, dignified, and equitable society through the protection of human rights, the provision of quality and accessible healthcare services, capacity building, comprehensive social support programs and actions aimed at systemic change.
