ANNUAL HEALTHCARE ACTIVITY REPORT 2025
In 2025, within its strategic goal aimed at ensuring access to health care and services, New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) continued to implement comprehensive and targeted interventions to increase and ensure access to healthcare services among key population groups in Armenia, with a focus on HIV prevention, early detection, and referral to treatment.
Throughout the year, tens of thousands of beneficiaries from key populations, particularly men who have sex with men (MSM) and female sex workers (FSW) in Armenia were provided HIV prevention and related healthcare services by NGNGO.
At the same time, screening of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) was carried out, including the identification of syphilis cases, the provision of appropriate counseling and treatment, if required.
As part of prevention efforts, condoms and lubricants were distributed, and referrals for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) were provided. Services were delivered using a peer-to-peer approach in a non-discriminatory, safe, and trusted environment, contributing to increased awareness among beneficiaries and their sustained engagement with healthcare services.
The quantitative data on services provided in 2025 are presented below.
The results of 2025 once again demonstrate that community-based approaches play a crucial role in combating the HIV epidemic, protecting the health of vulnerable groups, and strengthening the public healthcare system.
New Generation Humanitarian NGO will continue its work by expanding access, increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting the availability of healthcare services throughout Armenia.
