Visit of the Global Fund and Ministry of Health Representatives to DIGNITY
On February 11, 2026, representatives of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF) visited the office of DIGNITY Humanitarian NGO.
During the visit, the NGO team presented to Valeria Grishechkina, the Global Fund Regional Portfolio Manager, the activities implemented within the framework of HIV prevention programs, the achievements recorded, and the existing challenges. The discussion was held in an open and practical format, addressing not only results but also systemic issues.
Representatives of the Global Fund Programs Coordination Team of the Ministry of Health of the Republic Armenia also attended the meeting, which allowed the discussion to move to a more systemic level by aligning governmental and civil society approaches and clarifying areas of responsibility.
Particular attention was given to prevention programs built on fundamental human rights principles, emphasizing that an effective public health response is possible only through the elimination of discrimination, ensuring equal access, and guaranteeing the dignified engagement of key populations.
Special focus was placed on ensuring the continuity of services, particularly in a changing social and financial environment. The DIGNITY team also presented existing barriers and gaps in service provision, including stigma and discrimination, limited access to services, as well as the impact of the legal and social environment on key populations. Possible solutions and directions for further cooperation were discussed.

As part of the visit, the delegation also visited Yerevan DropIn Center, where they got acquainted with its daily operations, the service delivery process, and spoke with service beneficiaries.
The meeting provided an opportunity to directly hear the opinions, assessments, and recommendations of service beneficiaries, as well as to discuss further steps aimed at ensuring the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of services.
The visit marked an important step toward strengthening partnership cooperation, ensuring program sustainability, and advancing human rights–based approaches in the field of HIV prevention.
