Every year, on the third Sunday of May, the world observes the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day.
Every year, on the third Sunday of May, the world observes the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day.
On this day, we remember and honor the people whose lives were taken by AIDS.
It is also a reminder that stigma and discrimination continue to take human lives — sometimes no less cruelly than the disease itself.
Today, while Yerevan continues living in its usual rhythm — people rushing, cars moving, the city constantly in motion…
we pause for a moment to remember those who are no longer with us.
To remember means to:
- continue fighting discrimination
- speak about HIV without fear
- support and accept one another
- promote human dignity
No one should be left alone.
