Emergency Support for HRD at Risk / Armenia

DIGNITY Humanitarian NGO is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Emergency Support Programme for Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) – Armenia.

The programme is designed for human rights defenders from different countries who, as a result of their peaceful and legitimate human rights work, face serious security risks and require temporary relocation to a safe environment.

Human rights defenders who have experienced or continue to face any of the following are encouraged to apply:

  • Threats;
  • Persecution;
  • Discrimination or stigmatization;
  • Physical or psychological violence;
  • Arbitrary detention or unlawful deprivation of liberty;
  • Digital or online attacks;
  • Or other risks directly related to their human rights work.

The Emergency Support Programme for Human Rights Defenders – Armenia provides participants with the opportunity to temporarily relocate to a safe environment, restore their safety and well-being, continue their professional activities, and prepare for their next steps.

  • Programme start date: 15 September 2026
  • Application deadline: 31 July 2026 (inclusive)
  • Confidentiality

All information submitted as part of the application process will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for the purpose of assessing eligibility for participation in the programme.
