The training was conducted by lawyer Shushan Khnkoyan, who introduced participants to the legal framework of the Republic of Armenia concerning HIV, access to healthcare services, the protection of personal data, and medical confidentiality.
The event took place in an active and engaging discussion format. Participants had the opportunity to raise questions and discuss challenges they may encounter when accessing HIV-related services or exercising their rights.
The training covered the following topics:
- The legal framework related to HIV in Armenia;
- The rights and responsibilities of people living with HIV;
- Legal guarantees for the protection of medical confidentiality;
- Access to healthcare services.
During the discussions, participants also explored practical situations in which knowledge of legal provisions can help prevent discrimination and support the effective protection of individual rights.
At the end of the training, participants had the opportunity to receive individual legal consultations and discuss issues of personal interest with the expert.
The services provided by Dignity Humanitarian NGO were also presented. These services are aimed at protecting the rights of vulnerable groups, improving access to healthcare services, strengthening capacities, and providing social support.
