Informed and Active Youth as a Driving Force for Democratic Participation: Final Day of the Training of Trainers
On May 22, 2026, the final day of the 3-day Training of Trainers was held.
The third and concluding day of the training was dedicated to Democratic and Civic Participation, emphasizing the important role of young people in public life, decision-making processes and the protection of democratic values. The main objective of the day was to encourage the active and informed participation of youth in social and political processes, especially in the context of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia.
The day’s expert, Anahit Chilingaryan, presented the importance of youth engagement in democratic processes, the significance of participation in elections and the opportunities to create change through community and civic initiatives. Discussions also focused on the role of young people’s voices and participation in building a more inclusive and democratic society.

Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants explored different forms of civic activism, leadership skills, mechanisms for raising community issues, and approaches for developing collaborative solutions. They also presented their own ideas and initiatives that could later be implemented within their communities to promote youth participation.
At the end of the training, participants reflected on the knowledge and experience gained throughout the three days, emphasizing the interconnectedness of media literacy, countering misinformation, and democratic participation. Participants expressed their willingness to continue educational and awareness-raising activities in their communities, contributing to the development of informed, responsible and active youth in Armenia.

The training was implemented by Dignity Humanitarian NGO within the framework of the project “My Voice Matters: Inclusive and Democratic Participation of Youth in Parliamentary Elections in Armenia,” with the financial support of the New Democracy Fund.
