In Gyumri, we talked about what is usually left unspoken
At the Gyumri DropIn center, an informational session was conducted at the initiative of Margarit Galstyan, outreach service provider of HIV prevention programs at Dignity Humanitarian NGO.
The session focused on innovations in HIV prevention, the fight against hepatitis, and raising awareness about health.
Participants were introduced to the latest developments in the field, both globally and within the Republic of Armenia.
Key services were discussed—many of which remain underknown or misunderstood.
Did you know that:
- HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is available in Armenia not only as a daily regimen, but also on-demand using the “2+1+1” scheme FREE
- HIV Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) can be accessed at any time if sought within 72 hours after potential exposure FREE
- Hepatitis C treatment is provided FREE of charge under a state program
- Hepatitis B vaccination is available and FREE of charge
The session served not only as a platform for knowledge-sharing, but also for open discussion, raising questions, and exchanging experiences.
Participants received clear and practical information on how they or people around them can access these services.
Dignity Humanitarian NGO continues its work to raise health awareness, ensure protection of vulnerable groups, and eliminate informational barriers.
